We are a club for photography enthusiasts of all abilities, based in Backwell, North Somerset. New members and visitors can always be sure of a very warm welcome.

We are a long established club and our members have a very wide range of photographic interests. Our programme includes a large number of talks, demos and presentations by external presenters covering a full range of photographic genres and 'how to' topics. We also have a good number of more social evenings, members' presentations, competitions, appraisals and quizzes. Altogether we learn, experience, share and enjoy all aspects of photography from the art, technical and social perspectives. We also have a lot of fun!
Visiting Us
We meet face-to-face at the WI Hall in Backwell on most Thursday evenings. However, do please check our programme before coming as some meetings are held over Zoom. If you plan on coming to a face-to -face meeting, please arrive any time after 7pm to be ready for a 7.30pm. Please note there may be a small door fee in some circumstances.
If you are thinking of joining do please let us know either beforehand (you can complete the form below or email us on info@backwellcameraclub.club) or upon arrival so we can explain various aspect of the club and introduce you to some of our members.
Nailsea and Backwell Station is perhaps a 10 minute walk away. There are nearby bus stops for services from and to Bristol, Weston Super Mare and other local towns and villages. There is also limited parking on site and plenty of street parking in the surrounding roads.

Special Interest Groups & Community Photography
We have a number of special interest groups that meet on a monthly basis throughout the year. These are a great way of advancing you photographic knowledge and skills. We are also active in the local communities by taking photos of events, sports fixtures and performances - and providing the resultant photos to the organisers on a royalty free basis. Exhibitions
We currently maintain small exhibitions of our work in the Backwell and Brockway (Nailsea) Medical Centres, the New Chestnuts Dental Surgery in Long Ashton and the committee room of Backwell Parish Hall.
