Introduction
The club has a number of special interest groups that meet throughout the year. Below, you will find outline information on each of them. Overall, the aims of all the groups are to support members in improving their skills and practice of photography, share experiences and images and to have an enjoyable time.
All members of the club can join any or all of the special interest groups; there is no additional club fee involved.
If you have an event or location you would like us to photograph (and provide you with a selection of images) do please get in touch via email: info@backwellcamera.club
Travel Group
The Travel Group meets at Cleeve Village Hall on the 4th Tuesday of the month. Club Members are encouraged to share their holiday images and travel experiences. All club members and invited guests (up to three times per season) are very welcome to attend.
A more detailed program to follow.
The Photoshoot Group
The Photoshoot Group arranges regular outings for our members to take photographs at local venues and events that they might not usually have access to.
The key aims of the group are to:
- have a good time
- venture to new places and opportunities
- improve our photographic skills and techniques
- provide an environment where we can help each other through the comparison and critique of each others images and the techniques employed
Recent shoots have included studio taster sessions at UWE, a night shoot of the fireworks at Weston-super-Mare and an evening at the Nailsea Christmas Fair.
A selection of members' images from recent shoots can be seen in the gallery. TBC
